Lane Kiffin can look to legendary USC coach for masterful quips this season

LOS ANGELES -- If USC head football coach Lane Kiffin thought there was an intense media spotlight shining in his direction since his arrival at Troy, it figures with the high expectations for the Trojans in 2012 his interaction with the media will provide even greater scrutiny.
As a public service and always looking to be a Good Samaritan, I graciously volunteer my assistance to the Trojans head coach in helping prepare him for the upcoming media onslaught, which officially begins at Pac-12 Media Day on July 24.
It's really quite simple. All Coach Kiffin needs to do is learn how to intertwine his own responses with the wit, charm, and zinging one-liners used before him by John McKay, the Trojans legendary Hall of Fame coach, who controlled the media with all the aplomb of a lion tamer.
