USC might need rematch for BCS
Trojans fans might hope NCAA punishes Oregon harshly -- next year

LOS ANGELES -- The USC Trojans and their fans should hope that Oregon does not suffer a probation that includes a bowl ban this upcoming season.
In the highly competitive world of college football, it's rather easy for a member school of a particular conference to gloat when the long arm of the law, or in this case the NCAA, drops the hammer on a fellow institution.
It's well documented that after the NCAA dispensed a debilitating list of sanctions that almost returned the Trojans program to the days of leather helmets and Howard Jones, an abundance of Pac-12 fans around the conference were exchanging high-fives.
