Trojan horse tells all
USC's latest edition of Traveler spills the goods about the mascot's history

LOS ANGELES -- It's not often one gets an audience with a Trojans legend. Recently we had the rare opportunity to have a conversation with Traveler Vll, the Trojans' famous equine mascot and one of college football's truly great icons.
Greg Katz: Thanks for taking time out of what must be the offseason for you. So what does Traveler do when he's not prancing around the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum?
Traveler: Oh, I still make the usual personal appearances, do some grazing, hang with the fellas watching The Triple Crown or we play a game of steeplechase. You know, just generally horsing around.
