Davis deserving of praise

LOS ANGELES -- It will be quite a collection of athletic dignitaries Saturday night at the Galen Center, as the University of Southern California celebrates the induction of 17 new members into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame.

Among the inductees for Saturday night's black-tie event, which will be emceed by former Trojans football great Lynn Swann, will be gridiron legends like offensive tackle Tony Boselli, wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, linebacker Adrian Young and tailback Clarence Davis.

Boselli and Johnson need no introduction to their remarkable Trojans careers, and Young will always be remembered as a defensive leader of John McKay's 1967 national champions. Young's four interceptions in the Trojans victory at Notre Dame that season is the stuff of legend.
