LOS ANGELES -- They're only post-spring practice opinions, but at least they're all mine:
• I know it's almost blasphemous to say this, but Matt Barkley didn't play well in the spring game and didn't have a particularly good spring, overall. He rarely seemed in rhythm, his passes weren't crisp and he too often reverted to his old, disturbing interception habits.
• That said, I don't think there is any reason to worry about the Trojans' poster-boy quarterback. Robert Woods' absence all spring changed the dynamic of the USC passing game, and Barkley spent much of the practices sharing snaps with backups Max Wittek and Cody Kessler.
