Tre Madden's switch to RB brings back memories of great position switches

LOS ANGELES -- The most newsworthy story of USC's spring practice has been the Tre Madden position switch from linebacker to tailback. It was startling to some.
And not too startling to others.
Those of us who have been covering the Trojans for a while know that position switches have become part of the tradition and lore of USC football. They don't happen that often, but when they do, they can be significant.
