Tough redshirt freshman linebacker joins ranks of Garden State Trojans

LOS ANGELES -- And you thought the New Jersey Sopranos had some tough dudes, like Tony Soprano, Paulie Walnuts, Silvio Dante and Christopher Moltisanti?
The storied football history of the USC Trojans hasn't had those types of "Jersey Boys," but they have had a long and successful history of tough guys from The Garden State, many of whom have gone on to achieve some of college football's highest honors.
Perhaps you remember the likes of All-America linebackers Richard Wood (Elizabeth, N.J./Jefferson) and Brian Cushing (Park Ridge, N.J./ Bergen Catholic), All-Pac-12 defensive lineman and co-captain of the 1978 national champions Richard Dimler (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne), and speedy receiving brothers Timmy and Lonnie White (South Belmar, N.J./Asbury Park).
