Blackwell ready to emerge
After a year on the service team, WR making his case for playing time

LOS ANGELES -- Can you honestly imagine having Matt Barkley as your quarterback in both high school and college?
USC redshirt freshman wide receiver Victor Blackwell doesn't have to imagine. He's living it, and you can tell by his words and smile, that he knows he is one mighty lucky pass catcher.
"It's a blessing, man, a blessing," said Blackwell, who had a nice catch and run from a Barkley pass during Saturday's practice in the Coliseum. "I caught passes from him in high school when he was the Gatorade Player of the Year and now he's up for the Heisman."
