Trojans starring in the media ranks
When the lights went out, several USC players transitioned nicely into sports media

LOS ANGELES -- When prep All-American offensive tackle Zach Banner (Lakewood, Wash./Lakes) made his announcement to attend the University of Southern California, he told the masses that there were several factors that contributed to his signing a national letter of intent with the Cardinal and Gold.
One of Banner's deciding factors to come to Los Angeles is to pursue an eventual career in broadcasting, following in the footsteps of his famous father, former NFL All-Pro tackle Lincoln Kennedy, who has enjoyed a post-football career as a successful sports broadcaster.
"I want to major in broadcasting, and what better place to do that than in the second-largest media market in the country," Banner said. "That's what I want to do my undergrad in."
