LOS ANGELES -- It appears imminent that those blue-chip recruits who tour the storied Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum during their official visit and sign national letters of intent with the Trojans eventually will be playing in a much-improved venue than the one they visited during the recruiting process.
Although not completely a done deal with the recent release of a term sheet for public inspection, it appears a final Coliseum lease agreement is well on its way for the University of Southern California to run and dramatically refurbish one of the truly historic stadiums in all of American sports.
As lawyers from both sides hammer out the final agreement documents, it appears there's now a real chance to turn the Grand Old Lady into a Cardinal and Gold Taj Mahal and thoughtfully turn Exposition Park into a true extension of the University of Southern California campus.
