While rare, plenty of transfers from four-year colleges have had an impact at USC

LOS ANGELES -- In the midst of two critical recruiting weekends, some of the attention has been diverted recently from who's coming to who's going? It's safe to say that the USC's 2012 roster remains a fluid situation.
With wide receivers Brice Butler and Kyle Prater and running back Amir Carlisle already heading out of Los Angeles, there is mystery and intrigue regarding the roster's future.
As the Trojans work towards the NCAA's mandated 75-scholarship roster and 15-man recruiting class this season, Lane Kiffin's program got a boost this week with a rare transfer from a four-year school, former Florida defensive back and SoCal native Josh Shaw.
