LOS ANGELES -- Upon walking into USC's Heritage Hall, Heisman Trophies celebrating Mike Garrett, O.J. Simpson, Charles White, Marcus Allen, Carson Palmer, and Matt Leinart grab your attention like billboard lights along Hollywood's Sunset Strip.
The legacy and memories of these six Trojans' winners are always remembered this time of the year, when college football's greatest prize is announced. That tradition continues on Saturday night in New York City.
For Trojans fans, a lot of the attention and energy of this season's Heisman celebration was lost earlier this week, when junior quarterback Matt Barkley was not named a Heisman Trophy finalist and did not receive an invitation to the ceremony.
Since he wasn't invited to New York, Matt Barkley has no chance at the Heisman Trophy this year. But there have been some great Trojans who never hoisted the Heisman.
