And then there were three.
In a season that seems to have flown by faster than a Robert Woods fly pattern, the USC Trojans dispensed with the woeful Colorado Buffaloes on Friday night and now head into what will be the final three games of 2011, all of which will help define the previous two months of competition.
These three final, highly charged games not only will give direction to the progress of the Trojans under Lane Kiffin, but perhaps will be the final moments in which to enjoy the special talents of quarterback Matt Barkley, offensive tackle Matt Kalil, and free safety T.J. McDonald.
An impressive victory over Colorado has USC on pace for a potential 10-win season. But the road to double digits is not an easy one.
