Curtis McNeal, Nickell Robey big factors in USC's near-upset of Stanford

LOS ANGELES -- In USC's most anticipated game of the season to date, its two smallest players stepped up in a big way.
Curtis McNeal and Nickell Robey are listed at 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8, respectively. On Saturday night against the Stanford Cardinal, they were giants.
The most memorable play from Stanford's 56-48 victory over USC likely will be McNeal's fumble into the end zone that ended the game in the third overtime. But without his earlier efforts, the Trojans wouldn't even be dreaming about forcing a fourth extra period.
