LOS ANGELES -- In the end, both teams got exactly what they deserved.
USC played hard -- ferociously at times -- and never appeared to quit. Arizona State played harder, more ferociously, and never wilted against the Trojans' advances throughout the game.
When it was all said and done, the difference between the two teams was that the Men of Troy resurrected every possible losing cliché known to the football universe in their painful, 43-22 loss to the Sun Devils in front of 61,000 fans Saturday night in Sun Devil Stadium.
To win in Sun Devil Stadium, USC had to avoid turnovers, mental mistakes and get sound coaching. That didn't exactly happen.
