LOS ANGELES -- After grabbing eight players from beyond California's borders in the 2011 recruiting class, USC saw its 2012 class have a more local feel due to scholarship limitations, as it only signed three out-of-state players. Early in the 2013 class, the Trojans have continued to look out of state first with their scholarship offers, pushing for some of the top talent in the country.
This week, WeAreSC takes an early look at 10 of the top out-of-state recruits on the Trojans' radar.
1. DT Kenny Bigelow (Bear, Del./Red Lion)
It's tough to imagine USC's 2013 recruiting class getting off to a better start than having one of the premier players in the country making an early commitment. There might not be a more important position for the Trojans in this class than defensive tackle, and while Bigelow has the speed to stay outside, it's easy to see the 6-foot-3, 280-pound athlete making the move to the middle at some point. Bigelow has a chance to rank among the top 10 players in the country and isn't shy about recruiting for his future program.
