Getting fired up to watch the offensive lines at a high school football game isn't an easy thing to do for most people. But in Saturday's CIF-Southern Section Pac-5 Division title game between Santa Margarita and San Clemente, plenty of interest will be centered on the battle of the big men.
In a year where California's offensive line class was better than it has been in several seasons, it's fitting that that final teams still standing in the Southern Section's most competitive division feature arguably the top two offensive lines and linemen in the state.
Santa Margarita boasts junior linemen Dane Crane, Riley Sorenson and Erik Bunte, while San Clemente counters with junior Sean Harlow and senior Tyler Rodriguez. But all eyes will be on the two stars -- Max Tuerk for Santa Margarita and Kyle Murphy for San Clemente.
Offensive linemen will be the main focus in the CIF-SS Pac-5 championship game, as USC commit Max Tuerk's Santa Margarita team faces USC target Kyle Murphy's San Clemente squad.
