Two future Trojans will face off in a marquee non-league game Friday night, and USC's first road trip this weekend will allow the Trojans coaches to check in on some of the top Arizona high school talent. WeAreSC takes a look at some intriguing games on the high-school schedule, as well as a few recruiting notes for the upcoming weekend.
Santa Margarita (Calif.) vs. Carson
Carson's brutal non-conference schedule doesn't get any easier this week, as the Colts welcome undefeated Santa Margarita, which has blown out its three opponents thus far. This game will offer an opportunity to watch future teammates Max Tuerk (Santa Margarita) and Darreus Rogers (Carson) on the same field.
Tuerk continues to push toward being recognized as the top offensive lineman in the state, while Rogers will try to duplicate the unbelievable receiving numbers he posted against Santa Ana Mater Dei and Long Beach Poly. The Eagles feature several junior prospects to keep an eye on as well, including offensive linemen Riley Sorenson and Dane Crane, quarterback Johnny Stanton and safety Connor O'Brien.
