Cravens falls just short of second championship as high school career ends

MURRIETA, Calif. -- USC safety commit Su'a Cravens sat on the wet turf, looking down at his hands as the football came to a stop near his feet. A light drizzle was falling, further dampening the mood at once-festive Vista Murrieta High School.
Friday night's CIF Southern Section Inland Division championship game came down to a 2-point conversion attempt, and Cravens was unable to come down with the ball. Corona (Calif.) Centennial avenged last year's title-game loss to Vista Murrieta, earning a 30-28 victory against the No. 9 team in the ESPN 25 power rankings.
Cravens sat on the wet turf as Centennial players celebrated nearby, taking a moment to gather his thoughts.
