Redfield cooking up special season
USC-bound two-way star has some unique ways of building team chemistry

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -- Like most elite recruits, Max Redfield has lofty goals for his senior season. He wants to leave for college on the highest of notes, preferably with a shiny CIF Southern Section championship ring around his finger and a newly stitched banner hanging in the Mission Viejo gym.
Redfield, a USC commit, also has the numbers 10 and 15 on his mind -- his targeted totals for interceptions and touchdown receptions, respectively. The nation's second-ranked athlete knows he'll need some help attaining the latter, so he recently did something to improve his chances.
Redfield cooked breakfast for his quarterback, junior Ian Fieber.
