CHANDLER, Ariz. -- A rare rain spell brought humidity to the desert Friday, soaking the Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton football field and creating muggy conditions for a region mostly accustomed to dry, triple-digit heat this time of year.
Offensive lineman Casey Tucker stood on the sideline with his helmet off, sweating through his jersey as Hamilton put the finishing touches on a 58-0 dismantling of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep. Tucker and the rest of the Hamilton starters had long been out of the game, playing only the first series of the second half before heading to the bench.
