USC QB commit Max Browne cherishes meeting Barkley, SEALs beach workout

REDONDO BEACH, Calif. -- USC quarterback commit Max Browne found himself in the sand before the sun came up Friday, plopped face down on the shoreline with fellow Elite 11 finalists for a rigorous, Navy SEALs-inspired workout.
It was hardly a relaxing day at the beach.
"A tall, lanky kid? Doing pushups in the water and stuff like that? That wasn't easy," the 6-foot-5 Browne said, laughing. "Anyone would have a tough time with it. Looking back on it, I'm glad I was able to be a part of that and I'm glad I was invited to this event. It's real special knowing that three or four years down the line these guys are going to be the face of college football."
