Colleges craving Su'a

12/30/2011

Few teams in the country had a closer call in their season opener than Vista Murrieta (Calif.) High School, which needed a field goal as time expired to beat Rancho Cucamonga Etiwanda 31-28.

Exactly three months later, few teams in the country were playing as well as the Broncos, who knocked off Corona Centennial 35-28 to capture a CIF-Southern Section Inland Division title. And like the Vista Murrieta team, it would be tough to pick an individual player performing at a higher level at the end of the season than junior linebacker/tailback Su'a Cravens.

Cravens performed well all season, scoring 12 touchdowns on offense and picking up three sacks defensively. After several dominating wins to close the season, Cravens and the Broncos readied themselves for a playoff run.
