WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – Even if safety T.J. McDonald hadn't announced Wednesday that he was returning for his senior season with the Trojans, the USC secondary was strengthened with the addition of junior college prospect Gerald Bowman (Pierce College).
Bowman committed to the Trojans over Oklahoma and Miami.
"I always told everyone from the beginning of the recruiting process that education was very important for me," Bowman said shortly after donning a USC hat. "Ultimately, I thought about it and I had a lot of family out here that were rooting for USC. I talked it over with my mother. And for her to tell me she's thinking about moving out here or Miami, it gave me the courage to go for it. I prayed about it and I'm happy with my decision."
Junior college safety Gerald Bowman became USC's 11th commitment on Wednesday, choosing the Trojans over Oklahoma and Miami (Fla). JC DE Morgan Breslin also committed to the Trojans.
