Starr enjoys official visit
USC LB commit gets wined and dined; Ellis McCarthy ready to take official visits

LOS ANGELES -- After committing to USC during the spring and making numerous unofficial visits during the summer and fall, Norco linebacker Scott Starr finally had his opportunity this past weekend to take an official visit to his future home.
Starr raved about the entire trip, from the campus tour to the downtown hotel to the evening spent inside the Coliseum. The unofficial visits had given him a small taste of the atmosphere, but this weekend provided the main course.
"When you go on an unofficial visit, coaches can't really do the full effect," Starr said. "The coaches went all out this weekend. Everybody on the staff went all out. It was a whole different environment. And with me already being committed, they were showing me love the entire time."
