Culmination of a dream
Louisiana native Kelvin York moved west to put himself in position to go to USC

LOS ANGELES -- Fullerton College coach Tim Byrnes doesn't remember the exact details of how Kelvin York came to his program after a tremendous career at Geismar (La.) Dutchtown High School. He's just glad it happened.
Byrnes said York was recommended to someone on the Fullerton staff by a person who knew both parties. Before they began recruiting York, Byrnes and the coaches sat down to watch his recruiting film.
"He was just an absolute stud," Byrnes said.
