Santa Monica (Calif.) High School offensive lineman Chad Wheeler is the newest USC commitment, having made his official pledge to the Trojans after their win over Syracuse this past Saturday. The 11th commitment of the 2012 class, Wheeler plays on both the offensive line and defensive line for Santa Monica, but it looks like the offensive side of the ball will be Wheeler's calling at USC.
Strengths
At 6-foot-6, 260 pounds, Wheeler has the frame colleges can build up pretty easily. He possesses great work ethic on the field and in the weight room. Does well getting his hands inside of his man. When he makes contact, he continues to move and drive his feet. Wheeler has a high motor and brings an attacking defensive mindset to the offensive side of the ball.
