Pipelines key to USC's success

Several programs have fed the Trojans over the years, contributing to their excellence

LOS ANGELES -- The USC Trojans have found considerable success throughout their history in recruiting from coast to coast, pulling players out of just about every state. But establishing a recruiting base close to home has allowed them to constantly stock their roster with some of California's top talent. WeAreSC takes a look at the top high schools with which USC has been able to establish pipelines through the years and those that have sent the most consistent and best talent to Troy.

Anaheim Servite

After several down seasons to begin the decade, coach Troy Thomas took over before the 2005 season and immediately brought the Friars back to prominence. Thomas has a 62-15 record at Servite and is producing FBS talent every year. The Trojans missed out on Notre Dame OT/DE Troy Niklas last season, while LB Butch Pauu (BYU commit) and OT Travis Averell (Boise State commit) likely won't receive USC offers. But the Trojans will always be a presence at Servite and have found success there through the past decade, grabbing the Kalil brothers as well as Galippo, who anchors the USC defense at middle linebacker. Looking ahead, sophomore Andrew Moore is already making noise and could be one to watch for the class of 2014.
