LOS ANGELES -- Some high school programs are fortunate enough to have one player capable of carrying a team offensively or defensively. Others are blessed with two tremendous talents who line up either at the same position or on the same side of the ball. Through the first few weeks of the 2011 season, several teammates have jumped out to impressive starts, and some will continue to make it difficult on their opposition for the entire year.
Here, WeAreSC takes a look at the top 10 duos dotting the California high school landscape this season.
Atwater Buhach Colony: DT Aziz Shittu, DT/OG Matt Cochran
Buhach's big men help form a devastating defensive line that held the opposition to minus-29 rushing yards in their most recent game. Shittu has 27 tackles and two sacks through three games, and he holds offers from some of the top programs in the country, including USC, Stanford, California, Auburn, Florida, Boise State, Nebraska and Texas A&M. Cochran excels along the offensive line as well, and he has been offered by Auburn, Stanford, Utah and Colorado, among others.
