Tyler, Kalil spark Trojans
Veteran running back brings stability while linemen come up big in multiple aspects

Leading up to Saturday's game against Utah, there was a lot of talk about the battle up in the box between former USC offensive coordinator Norm Chow and USC defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin.
The ballyhooed matchup ended in a draw. However, during the game it looked like the main battle wasn't going on up in the coaches box, but down in the trenches between former Trojans offensive line coach Tim Davis and USC defensive line coach Ed Orgeron. Having coached together at USC for a few years, Orgeron and Davis know each other's coaching styles well.
No doubt they were telling stories and down-playing one another before the game in an attempt to fuel a fire of resentment among their players. Orgeron took the win in that battle. Utah had a hard time blocking and matching the speed of USC's front four. So much so that Utah had five false-start penalties.
