Top recruiting battles take shape
Trojans' most important targets are along both lines of scrimmage

The USC coaching staff proved with the 2011 recruiting class that it can close as well as any group in the country. After a productive start to the 2012 class, Lane Kiffin, Ed Orgeron and the rest of the Trojans will look to lock up several national-level recruits before February's Signing Day. The emphasis will be along the offensive and defensive lines, but impact players at nearly every position are being chased by USC. With programs such as Oregon and Stanford dominating the Pac-10 in recent years, California's Tosh Lupoi continuing his run as one of the game's best recruiters and Notre Dame always making its presence felt on the West Coast, the Trojans coaches will have their work cut out for them as they strive to add the finishing pieces to the Class of 2012. WeAreSC takes a look at the top 10 recruiting battles being waged by the USC coaches: 10) Kevon Seymour, ATH (USC, Washington, UCLA) -- The soft-spoken, do-it-all playmaker from Muir High School has been pursued by the Trojans since the spring. The prevailing thought was Seymour would commit to USC during the summer. Instead, Seymour remains open and both the Huskies and Bruins have been coming on strong.
