Alamo Bowl a must-win for Texas

Longhorns need to beat Oregon State in bowl game for confidence, pride

"We're Texas!"

That's one of the slogans for the University of Texas. The school tag line is now, "What starts here changes the world." The worldwide tag line for the state is, "Everything is bigger and better in Texas."

The Texas standard in the Mack Brown era has been incredible. Regardless of what you think of Brown and the program now, it was really successful from his launching point in 1998 through 2009.
