AUSTIN, Texas -- Football is the ultimate team sport, so any blame as well as any credit has to be spread to the team.
Even when you throw in the futile offensive performances against Oklahoma, Kansas and TCU in 2012, my worry going into the offseason for Texas was all about the defense.
As the Longhorns have now finished spring, my focus is still on the same place.
After a shaky performance in the spring game, the Texas Longhorns' defense does not have to be great, but it has to be fundamentally sound, tackle well and not give up the big play.
