Mack Brown parrots the latest buzzwords, but don't believe the hype

AUSTIN, Texas -- It amazes how much one word, one reference or one concept is communicated and what it can do to a fan base on the edge.
It is safe to say that the Texas football fan base is now on the edge. Fans were long amused and satisfied by great news conferences, fancy speeches and high-ranked recruiting classes, but they are past that part of the relationship with coach Mack Brown.
During his national signing day news conference, Brown talked about the migration and evolution of his offense and said, "We're not going to be the option-type team that Oregon is, but we want to run Oregon's tempo."
