AUSTIN, Texas -- I really like David Ash. I really like Case McCoy.

My feelings about the quarterback position at Texas have less to do with who the coaches chose as starter and more to do with how they manage the position going forward. David Ash is the starter and Case McCoy is the backup.

During my pregame radio show I was asked how many snaps McCoy would get and when he should enter the game. The other hosts on stage with me all answered that he should play when the game was still in doubt, sometime in the first half. My answer was simple and almost childlike.
