Smythe, tight ends a hot commodity

AUSTIN, Texas -- Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham lit up the NFL in 2011. This year, Durham Smythe is reaping the rewards. The breakout stars of the New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints have helped make tight end a coveted weapon, and Smythe already is noticing that trend trickle down to the college game. Colleges from all over the country are pursuing the 6-foot-5, 230-pound junior from Belton, Texas. And on each visit he has taken so far, Smythe has heard a recruiter tell him their program will make him the next Gronkowski.
