DALLAS -- Bobby Watkins understood the rigors of football as well as anyone having played seven years in the NFL with the Detroit Lions.
So when his youngest son, Nick Watkins, tugged on his shorts as a five-year-old begging him to let him play flag football there was an understood hesitance.
