Summer recruiting to-do list
For college coaches, summer is not synonymous with vacation
As the weather begins to warm and the days get longer, minds start to wander to the beach and the pool and the baseball park -- all of those summer spots we wait all year to find. However, my mind quickly transitioned to the world of college football recruiting. I wondered what might be on a college recruiter's summer bucket list.
I started to check with coaches, and it quickly became clear that while the rest of the country is busy hanging out at the pool this summer, college coaches won't have much time to relax.
Fewer than 100 days are left before the college football season begins and focus shifts to the on-field product, so if staffs want to sign a class that will help win football games in the future, the summer is no vacation.
