KEY STAT for Sooners

45. Landry Jones has been sacked just twice in his two previous starts against Baylor and has averaged 45 passing attempts between each sack. Protecting Jones will be critical on Saturday as the Sooners should have the advantage on the perimeter with their explosive receivers against the Bears secondary.

Can Brennan Clay continue his strong play?

With starter Damien Williams limited by an ankle injury, the junior running back rushed for 157 yards, including 99 yards in the second half, and one touchdown against Iowa State last weekend.

It's quite possible Williams will be limited again this week against the Bears, so Clay could see another 20-plus carry afternoon. It's his opportunity to fulfill the promise he showed when he was an elite running back recruit out of high school.

Safety Javon Harris was the goat in last year's 45-38 loss at Baylor. He gave up several passes over the top of his end before eventually being replaced by Sam Proctor in the fourth quarter. Harris has played much better this season and admitted he's been looking forward to this game.
