Now that practice is over for OU, SoonerNation looks back on the spring

NORMAN, Okla. -- Spring football is over and done with following Saturday's Red-White spring game. With that, below is a 7-on-7 look at some observations of the Sooners going into the summer:

Offense

1. Trey Metoyer is the real deal: If Metoyer isn't already Oklahoma's best skill-position player, he's in the ballpark. I know, that's incredible praise for a true freshman. But in the spring game, Metoyer confirmed why the Sooners coaches have been so effusive in their praise for him. He doesn't drop passes, runs precise routs and is physical getting open and bouncing off tackles, all rare traits of a freshman wide receiver. All signs point to Metoyer making a big impact next season.
