Ward, Scott are state's top prospects

The state of Oklahoma's top juniors are led by D.J. Ward, who already has an OU offer

Most Oklahoma high school football players dream to play for the Oklahoma Sooners. Lately, OU hasn't been sharing the dream as a reduction in scholarships has resulted in a reduction in homegrown products.

OU signed only two recruits in the class of 2011 from the Sooner State, offensive lineman Dylan Dismuke (Duncan, Okla./Duncan) and quarterback Kendal Thompson (Moore, Okla./Southmoore).

So far, the 2012 class is at two verbal commits in wide receiver Sterling Shepard (Oklahoma City/Heritage Hall) and running back Alex Ross (Jenks, Okla./Jenks).
