BROKEN ARROW, Okla. -- Some news resonates longer than others. ESPN Watch List running back Devon Thomas (Broken Arrow, Okla./Broken Arrow) doesn't necessarily remember the first school to look at him.

But if you ask him how he first got into contact with Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy, it's all crystal clear.

"I was in practice one day last year and Coach Spav [Broken Arrow coach Steve Spavital] gave me a number and said it was Cale Gundy," Thomas said. "He wanted to talk to me and give me three tickets to an OU game.
