Sooners open eyes of in-state RB

RB Lawrence Evitt, who grew up an OSU fan, calls OU visit 'unbelievable'

NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma State is all Lawrence Evitt has known. It's the school the junior running back from Wagoner, Okla., grew up around and his dream has always been to be a Cowboy.

But that dream might have taken a different direction last weekend. Evitt, a virtual unknown heading into the season, hasn't really focused on recruiting. He has been all about getting his grades up and maintaining his GPA.

But his play on the field has spoken volumes. And coaches have been paying attention, especially Oklahoma running backs coach Cale Gundy.
