Long road leads to OU offer for Lynch
Three-star New York running back is taking an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend

There is the road less traveled, and then there is the road three-star running back Akeel Lynch (Athol Springs, N.Y./St. Francis) has taken to put himself in position to play college football.
Lynch, a Boston College verbal commit since the summer, is taking an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend, and it's possible that Norman, Okla., will be the end of his long journey.
Originally from Canada, Lynch did not hear from OU running backs coach Cale Gundy until days before the Insight Bowl on Dec. 30. Gundy, along with head coach Bob Stoops, watched Lynch's tape and scrambled to get in touch with Lynch.
