If there was ever an example of how quickly things can change, the running back position at Oklahoma this season is a great place to start.
Walk-on Dominique Whaley became the starter. Then two running backs decided to leave the team. Whaley then suffered a season-ending injury, and that's how quickly too much depth at one position can become not enough.
The Sooners fared well with their 2012 class with local product Alex Ross (Jenks, Okla./Jenks), ranked No. 4 at the position. It also appears Daniel Brooks (Port Lavaca, Texas/Calhoun) is going to end up in a tailback role for OU.
