NORMAN, Okla. -- The most overlooked recruit in Oklahoma's recruiting class of 2012 could be Charles Tapper (Baltimore/City College High School).
A basketball star who uses his raw athleticism to excel on the gridiron, Tapper has been relatively overlooked in recruiting circles despite picking the Sooners over offers from Penn State, West Virginia, Miami (Fla.) and others. The defensive end prospect committed to the Sooners in July and made his official visit last weekend, when the Sooners hosted Texas Tech.
OU lost the game, 41-38, to the Red Raiders, but they won when it comes to reaffirming Tapper's commitment to becoming a Sooner.
