NORMAN, Okla. -- It is nearly 1,000 miles from Texarkana, Texas, to Apopka, Fla. By car, it would take about 15 hours.

Nevertheless, Oklahoma verbal commits John Michael McGee (Texarkana, Texas/Texas) and Ty Darlington (Apopka, Fla./Apopka) have developed a close relationship.

And they've never even met in person.
