Lawton's D.J. Ward visits Sooners
Junior DE is taking the recruiting process slowly, wants to see more places

College coaches flocked to Lawton (Okla.) High School last season to see wide receiver Tyrequek Zimmerman and linebacker Jabral Johnson, who ended up signing with Oregon State.
But before leaving, each coach asked Lawton head coach Randy Breeze about a sophomore defensive end that grabbed their attention: D.J. Ward.
The questions about Ward didn't start then, and they haven't stopped. Ward already had eight scholarship offers before the summer, including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Arizona. He was the Sooners' first in-state offer for the 2013 class.
