NORMAN, Okla. -- The Oklahoma basketball team knew it was getting signed letters of intent from guards Buddy Hield (Bel Aire, Kan./Sunrise Christian) and Je'lon Hornbeak (Arlington, Texas/Grace Prep) on Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
But the Sooners also got a surprise.
Forward Jarion Henry (La Jolla, Calif./La Jolla Prep) committed to the Sooners on Wednesday afternoon, giving the Sooners their third pledge under first-year coach Lon Kruger in the class of 2012. Henry, 6-foot-8 and 200 pounds, is a verbal commitment and has not signed a letter of intent.
