Here is a team-by-team breakdown of the recruiting classes in the Big Ten.
Breakdown: After finishing No. 6 in the class rankings last year and sitting in the top five this year, Urban Meyer continues to be one of the better recruiters in college football regardless of conference. This class is built around the secondary, with four of the nation's best in Apple (formerly Woodard), Gareon Conley and Cam Burrows -- the Nos. 3, 7 and 9 cornerbacks, respectively, in the ESPN 150 -- and safety Vonn Bell, who is No. 4 in the nation at the position and No. 50 in the ESPN 150. Apple, a five-star prospect, is ranked 11th overall in the ESPN 150 and should be an early difference-maker in Columbus. The Buckeyes also have ESPN 150 standouts in defensive tackle Joey Bosa, fast-rising athlete Jalin Marshall, inside linebacker Trey Johnson, RB Dontre Wilson and outside linebacker Mike Mitchell. Marshall, a wide receiver, could quickly develop into a big-play weapon, while tight end Marcus Baugh, running back Ezekiel Elliott and offensive tackle Evan Lisle also help fill needs on offense. More than half of the prospects signed in this class are in the ESPN 300.

Ohio State Buckeyes
Top prospect: CB Eli Apple. Apple is a perimeter player who plays the game fast and with an edge. The Buckeyes gain an explosive, physical corner who could see early playing time.Breakdown: After finishing No. 6 in the class rankings last year and sitting in the top five this year, Urban Meyer continues to be one of the better recruiters in college football regardless of conference.
